Building services play an important role in the success of a development. From ensuring comfortable and functional spaces to supporting safety, efficiency and compliance, these systems need to be carefully considered throughout the design and construction process. Intrax provides coordinated building services engineering for a wide range of projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, education, healthcare and public developments across Australia.
Our building services engineers bring expertise across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire protection and vertical transport systems. We work closely with architects, builders, developers and other engineering disciplines to develop practical solutions that respond to the specific requirements of each project.
From initial planning and concept design through to detailed documentation, construction and completion, our team provides the technical expertise and project support required to deliver coordinated, compliant and fit-for-purpose building services.
Building services need to work within the wider structure and design of a development. Our multidisciplinary approach allows our building services engineering consultants to collaborate with Intrax teams across structural, civil, geotechnical and surveying disciplines.
This integrated approach helps identify potential design conflicts and technical issues early in the project. Addressing these considerations during the design process can reduce the risk of clashes, delays and costly changes during construction. It also allows clients to access a broader range of engineering expertise through a single consultancy.
Our building engineers use industry-standard software, modelling tools and technical expertise to develop efficient systems that align with project requirements, relevant standards and authority expectations. Each solution is considered in the context of the wider development, helping ensure building services are practical to construct, operate and maintain.

Building services engineering covers the systems that help a building operate safely, efficiently and effectively. This can include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire protection and vertical transport systems, as well as the design and coordination of these services.
Intrax building services engineers support a wide range of projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, education, healthcare and public developments. Our team can also assist with refurbishments, extensions, upgrades and existing building assessments.
